I have been an artist since the age of 9, when I won a gold ribbon in the Illinois State Fair for a paper mache horse I created.
Since that time, I have been inspired to create art in many different mediums. At age 16, I sold my first commission piece of a calico cat which was a colored pencil drawing.
As I work during the day for an insurance company, I create by night. During high school, I was enrolled in Art Instruction Schools and was about 3/4 of the way done when I dropped out and decided to continue furthur education on my own.
After high school, I started working for insurance companies and worked my way up to claims processor. Over the years, after having my art exposed to my coworker's, I completed over 50 commission pieces of cars, people and animals. I was in several of the "On My Own Time" art exhibits that were sponsored by the Springfield Area Art's Council in the late nineties and early 2000..
As of November 2011, I am now a JURIED member/artist with the Prairie Art Alliance so I will be creating new paintings for the gallery. It is a great place in Springfield to show and sell your art so I am blessed to be a part of it and am looking forward to meeting new artists.
I hope you enjoy seeing my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
"UPDATE: JOINED THE PHARMACY GALLERY in DECEMBER 2018. Located in the heart of downtown Springfield.
